We represent workers who have sustained many types of injuries or suffered from a variety of illnesses, many of them serious or catastrophic. Please contact us today for help with any of the following:
Mississippi workers' compensation claims are decided by an administrative law judge (ALJ) at the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission. If your claim is denied by that ALJ, you can appeal to the full commission. Further denials can be appealed to the local county circuit court, and on to the Mississippi Court of Appeals.
Our law firm provides representation at all stages of the workers' compensation process from the initial claim to any and all appeals. We are knowledgeable about the common reasons for claims' denials, and we know how to build a strong claim on behalf of injured workers.
In some situations, workers' compensation insurers do deny benefits or refuse medical care to injured workers. For example, the insurance company may claim the injury was not reported in a timely manner or was caused by something other than your work duties.
We understand that when you are injured, not able to work, and not yet receiving your workers' comp benefits, you can be put in a challenging financial situation. Insurance companies sometimes take unfair advantage of people in a tough financial situation. If you think an insurance company is trying to use your financial situation to get you to accept a lower settlement amount, they may be acting in bad faith. Our law firm represents injured workers whose workers' compensation insurance claims are delayed or denied in bad faith.
If you need to file for workers' comp or are having problems with your claim, we invite you to call us at (601) 853-9131 / (866) 291-7541 or contact us by e-mail to schedule your free consultation.
